QUALITY CONTROL AND QUALITY ASSURANCE
MAIN FACTORS IN QUALITY CONTROL
Quality control shall have direct lines of communication to engineering, fabrication, installation and management. The quality control department is directly responsible to top management and not controlled by the production. In KKF the quality is assured by the procedure as follows:
- Verification of fabrication drawing and acceptance by technical manager
- Complete inspection of raw materials, ACP cladding Sheets, aluminium extruded profiles, accessories, dimension, and bending, finishing and confirmation of the project specifications.
- Mock up sample inspection
- Inspection of dimension, cutting bending and shop floor fabrication pretending to accuracy of dimensions of each unit.
- Check the preparation for installation
- Proper handling, storage, loading and transportation to site
- Deputation of the experienced installers and qualified supervisors acceptable to engineer
QUALITY CONTROL PROCEDURE
MOCK UP SAMPLE AT SITE
Approved mock up sample is the guideline for the quality control during fabrication at shop floor and installation at site based on the field measurement and specifications. The mock up is the instrument to verify the selection made under sample submittals and to demonstrate aesthetic effects as well as qualities of material and execution.

QUALITY CONTROL DURING FABRICATION
Upon receipt of detailed fabrication order the production manager will ask the planning officer to provide him the materials which have been reserved for the concerned project. The quality control officer in coordination with store keeper will check the incoming material, quantity, accessories for item code etc. the quality control supervisor shall coordinate with the production manager to check the incoming materials for their consistency with the project specification as mentioned in the fabrication order. The nonconfirming materials are sent back to store supervisor for rectification or replacement.
QUALITY CONTROL AFTER FABRICATION BEFORE DISPATCH
When the fabricated item is ready for dispatch the production manager will issue an inspection request to quality control supervisor to conduct the final inspection. The quality control supervisors along with his assistants will measure each item to compare their size with fabrication order. Each unit shall be inspected for type of operation, finish, quantity, type and make of accessories and checked for their consistency with project specification and marked on the fabrication order. The confirming units are then loaded and each unit shall be marked for their type number, location etc.
The fabricated units are then carefully stored, waiting for transportation and a dispatch note shall be approved by QC supervisor to dispatch officer.

QUALITY CONTROL DURING INSTALLATION
Materials upon arrival at job site shall be checked by site foreman for any defects during transportation after completion of installation as per project specification to achieve performance criteria. The consultant shall be asked for an inspection which will monitor quality of installation. The protection covers shall be maintained until the time of substantial completion to avoid any damage or deterioration to the work. Based on the instructions from the client the protective covers shall be removed from surfaces.
REPAIRS
Naturally the utmost care is to be taken in the fabrication and installation so that the required repair will be minimized. Defect or damage due to manufacturing handling transportation installation by our personnel facility shall be repaired under direct supervision of the quality control inspector at the site or at the factory. All repairs or defects in work found during the installation shall be completed before handling over the project. Any defects like manufacturing defects, found after the installation within the warranty period shall be repaired on notice.
WASTAGE DISPOSAL
We are providing the waste bin at the site as well as the factory for the disposal of fabrication wastes and clean after every project and the waste is disposing through the third party for the recycling process.
